Phew, you made it through this entire month of #NaNoProMo Book Marketing.

I made it.

What do you think?

One entire month of daily posts and giveaways from experts in book marketing, social media, branding, and publishing — all to help you, my writer friends, figure out the best this writing gig we’ve chosen has to offer. Sure, there’s a lot more out there and sure, you can take this advice or leave it. What I chose to do is to curate content from the people I learn from. I hope you’ve gleaned some amazing info you can put into practice right now.

Book Marketing: Where Do You Go From Here?

  • A Free PDF. I’m organizing all this great content into a free, downloadable PDF available to you here on my site (give me a bit of time — I’m a bit exhausted right now 🙂
  • Read it all again. Read through all the posts again and put into practice what you feel helps you the most
  • Follow the experts. Follow the experts who were kind enough to share their wisdom. Take their free courses. Sign up for their newsletters.
  • Follow me. If you haven’t already, please follow me @BadRedheadMedia on Twitter, Facebook, and pretty much everywhere else (all my share follow buttons are over there >>>> on the top right.
  • Join my Street Team! If you want more in-the-know discussions, that’s THE best place to find me.
  • Support each other. Use the #NaNoProMo hashtag if you’re using something you learned. I appreciate any love you send my way, too.
  • Chat. Attend my weekly #BookMarketingChat (every Wednesday on Twitter, 6pm pst/9pm est). Stay in touch with me and each other.
  • Come back again! Finally, come back next year when I’ll do it all again!

On to today. Here’s a summary of all 26 posts (I didn’t include the 4 summary/winner announcement posts), grouped together by category. At the bottom is today’s giveaway from worldwide bestselling author Hugh Howey (of the worldwide smash Wool Series— now being made into a movie), who is offering a one-on-one Skype consultation on…well, read more at the bottom.

Wow. I read the Wool series ages ago (with the original cover design) and literally gave it to my son last week. Doesn’t every Indie author dream of what he’s achieved? What an opportunity, and way to end an amazing NaNoProMo. Huge thanks to everyone who’s been involved

This has been the greatest series, Rachel. The info provided here is invaluable and I am so happy to know there will be a downloadable resource to keep it all at hand. I was definitely hoping for something like that.
Definitely looking forward to next year!

Thank you for an incredible month! I still need to catch up on some of the posts but this was a fun, informative way to learn and make new connections. Thanks to both you and Emilie for your stellar efforts.

Rachel, you’re the best! #NaNoProMo has been so helpful for me (and probably quite a few others). As for the most useful post…that’s a tough call. It would have to be one of the posts on branding. Of all the concepts related to marketing, that has given me the most trouble. Those posts, combined with #BookMarketingChat, have done a lot to clarify it for me. I’m starting a workshop on novel revision this Wednesday, so won’t be able to join #BookMarketingChat again until August. See you then-and thanks loads for all your amazing work.

Outstanding series of posts–I wish I’d been more diligent about keeping up each day but I’m thrilled you’re planning to make this available as a pdf file. The information in these posts is GOLD and I know I’ll need time to process them adequately. Tremendous effort on the part of everyone involved–Rachel and all the guest posters! Thank you so much for doing this!

Rachel,

Thanks so much for the tremendous effort that went into NaNoProMo. What a wealth of information!

Though I’m heading down the traditional path for now, I’m always open to new opportunities. NaNoProMo offered fabulous insights for both indie and traditionally pubbed authors. Thank you!

I feel there is no one perfect marketing type that will work for every author. Maybe I just stated the obvious though lol. There are so many great articles listed above so I made sure I saved on my laptop so I can use it for quick reference.

Also, just a quick S/O to Rachel for putting together a fantastic month of #NanoPromo I learned a lot this month about what I am doing right and fantastically wrong.

The effort you (and Emilie) put into this shows. Such an amazing amount of content and free advice for ANY writer at ANY stage of their author journey; just sitting there ready to be captured and put to good use immediately. Can’t imagine anyone who is serious about their writing would pass up the opportunity presented here. Considerable congratulations and thanks for all that you did to put this month together, and also to the many generous authors and advisors who not only gave away their wisdom, but many tangible items to further the cause of quality writing and publishing. And the best part – it’s not too late. ANyone can join the weekly chat and gain valuable information week by week. Thanks for all you have given to the profession of writing and book marketing, and your favorite social cause. Well done.
