Heard of Triberr but not sure exactly what it does?

 

Are you a member (joining is free) but unsure what the heck to do now?

Well, have I got a present for you!

 

Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 4pm PST, join me on Spreecast (sign in easily with your Facebook or Twitter credentials) as I talk with cofounder Dino Dogan!

 

What is Triberr?

 

Triberr is known as the reach multiplier. People join tribes and tweet out each other’s most recent blog posts (you can choose to manually tweet them out – including Facebook, LinkedIn, StumbleUpon and G+ as well), or have it done for you automatically (they took away that feature but now it’s back).

 

Not only that, but the platform functions as its own kind of mini social network – chat with other members of your tribe (not required but I find helpful), support each other through blog comments or introductions, and meet like-minded individuals who want to succeed as much as you do. Not only that, but I’ve formed fantastic real-life friendships from connecting with people on Triberr. If nothing else, this is what I most love about the platform.

 

I’ve met amazing people through Triberr: Dino (of course) who hired me to teach a Blog-To-Book webinar; the sparkplug known as Peg Fitzpatrick, co-owner of 12Most.com, for whom I now regularly write; Justin Bog, bestselling author and editor; and my entire tribe of the Rawr Kitties, the most amazing group of women (okay, and one dude) I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. Each of them is so talented and funny; I’m thrilled to be part of the group.

 

Some people have issues with Triberr, which I’ve experienced firsthand: some people are very protective of their streams, and therefore cherry-pick content (which can upset other members who share everything); some feel it’s just too much going out on their stream (although we can each set our own time interval, so I can’t say I really get that but whatever), and some people join but are so confused by it they give up (they do have a great website for newbies called AllTriberr, with loads of tutorials). I’ve also found Dan and Dino to be extraordinarily helpful when I have an issue.

    You bet. There are definitely ways to use it that do not work but I find, for the most part, that it’s a terrific platform when everyone kinda ‘gets it.’ Hope you can make it tomorrow!
